"Home is Refuge"

As a child growing up I enjoyed a peaceful, happy home. It was a place I enjoyed being. I always knew no matter what I'd done I could always go home. There was a peace there that I couldn't find any place else.

Even now, I love my home. My husband, Mark and I are trying to teach our children to love their home and appreciate what is there. Mark has told Haley and Mark Anthony a multitude of times, "I want you both to know I love you and no matter what kind of trouble you get yourself in call me, I'll come and get you and bring you home." Hopefully, they have no doubt that he really means that. He wants our home to be a place of refuge...

The bible mentions in many places that God is our refuge. He also tells us that He has gone to prepare a place for us in John 14:2...this is our Heavenly home.

We need to understand that if we are in Christ Jesus, we have a heavenly home that He has prepared for us and we can always find refuge in Him. No matter what kind of trouble we find ourselves in, our heavenly Father loves us and He is there with open arms ready to take us home.

Find peace today in knowing...there's no place like home.
