Psalm 127:3..."Lo, childdren are an heritage of the Lord; and the friut of the womb is His reward."
We've probably all heard the statement...When your children are young, they step on your feet, but when they are old they step on your heart.
If you have had young children you know how they tug and pull at you and step on your feet and probably a time or two you've said, "I hope they grow out of this stage soon."
And then...they become teenagers...that's when they get you in the heart. You may have even said, "What happened to my sweet baby."
The question is...How can we keep praisin' while we are raisin'?
Proverbs 22:6 says..."Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it."
That's why we can praise even on the hardest day with our children. This scripture lets me know that if I do my part, God is going to be faithful to do His part.
Does this mean our children are going to be perfect and not make any mistakes along the way? No, but is gives us hope. If we teach them while they are with us, when they are old they won't depart.
This thought should help us..Praise while we raise!
Enjoy your families today while claiming the promise that God has given you.
