James 4:14..."Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
Some of my fondest times in life, I replay over and over in my mind. They will always remain with me...
Today we are so busy that sometimes we forget we need to take time to make memories. We need to do the little things that sometimes seem insignificant in our daily schedules. It may be that special father/son trip or that mother/daughter moment...
My son, Mark Anthony has loved the Chicago Cubs ever since he could stand and hit a ball off of a Fisher Price tee. He would talk about Sammy Sosa (Sammy Salsa to him). He kept track of how many games behind or ahead they were and when their games were going to be on TV. He watched the games every time they were on, just about drove me crazy at times.
Last fall my husband, Mark and Charles, a member of our church decided to go on a father/son adventure. You guessed it! They went to Wrigley Field to see the Chicago Cubs. A two day, one night trip turned into a lifetime of memories. Mark Anthony is now asking, "What Stadium are we going to this year dad?"
Around the same time, Mark gave me some money to take my daughter, Haley to the mall on a guilt free shopping spree. We had a great girls day, memories for a lifetime...
You don't have to spend money to make memories. A picnic in the backyard, a day of fishing at a pond, a camp fire making smores...you just need to take the time.
Life is just a vapour and then it is gone. Time goes by so fast...don't forget to make your moments last forever in the minds of your loved ones.
