"Fear and Faith"

II Timothy 1:7..."For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."

It seems like every day I come in contact with people who are struggling with fear when they really want to have faith. They are good Christian people feeling bad when they are struggling in life and feeling like they are failing God by not having the power to overcome their problems.

I would like to encourage you if you are at that point in your life right now. Here's something to remember, God does not give us the spirit of fear...

He gives us power, love, and a sound mind. Wow! Just claim it. Claim the power that God has given you. Get in His word and claim the promises He has given you like; He'll never give you anything in life you cannot bear or He will never leave you or forsake you. What about He will supply all your needs and train up a child and he will never depart...and the list goes on and on.

Claim His power. You can do all things through Christ who strengtheneth you...that is a promise from His word.

Claim the love of the people He has placed in your life. If He has given you a family, friends and a church family, be thankful and know that they are in your life to help you in times of need. Don't be afraid to go to them for prayer and understanding.

And lastly, know that He gives you a sound mind. If you are struggling mentally, know that He can give you the power to overcome the problems you are struggling with mentally. Get in His word and claim the power you have over those things.

If you are saved today, God has not given you fear...fear is not of God.

He gives you faith...Claim it today and have victory in your life.
